Considering the idea of participating in a photographer retreat? Absolutely go for it! These retreats are fantastic! The 2020 Arizona Photographers Retreat was truly amazing. Alongside fellow photographers, we delved into the picturesque landscapes of Sedona, Arizona, engaging in sightseeing, scouting locations, and hiking. Collaborating, sharing knowledge, and capturing breathtaking images, we forged lasting memories with our newfound photographer friends!
Arizona Redrock Elopement
Our initial session unfolded in the enchanting backyard of our exquisite Airbnb, set up as an intimate elopement. Take a look! Nina and Nic were absolutely fantastic! Being a newly engaged couple, their love for each other was palpable. Witness Nina, a captivating Scandinavian beauty, elegantly donning dresses rented from Honey & Shaw Boutique in Arizona.
Picnic Elopement in the Romantic Setting of Sedona
Arizona was beyond amazing. As we were sightseeing Sedona we found this gem of a place and decided that it would be the perfect place for a romantic elopement picnic. One week before arriving in Arizona my original models backed out and I had to scramble to find someone. I am so happy that McKenzee reached out and decided that her and her boyfriend would model for us! It was such a perfect incident. They were both so perfect and brought such joy to our session. Not to mention the perfect romantic picnic set-up by Canape & Co. Thanks to Souley Sweet Bakehouse in Arizona we also had a perfect cake to compliment the set-up, and get this – the cake was VEGAN!! and was absolutely amazing! Who says healthy can’t be delicious?!
Sedona Hiking Engagement.
The final session of our Arizona Photographers Retreat unfolded as a captivating and romantic Sedona hiking engagement. This hidden gem came to our attention through a local woman whose daughter was a photographer in the area. It exceeded all our criteria, boasting not only beauty but also uniqueness, with a myriad of settings and creative options that we instantly fell in love with.
Jen and Adam, the engaged couple, joined us at the location with an extra layer of excitement. They shared with us the incredible news that just an hour before, Adam had proposed to Jen, catching her completely off guard. The atmosphere was charged with the freshness of their joy, and the love between them radiated throughout the entire session. It was truly a magical and serendipitous moment for an engagement session, capturing the essence of their newfound commitment amid the stunning backdrop of Sedona’s scenic beauty.
Branding Excursion Among the Redrocks
Oh course, when spending time with other photographers, there will be branding photos! We went for a hike a little ways from Bell Rock and found this spot. It was nice to dress up and get into the beautiful Arizona heat flashing the gear for some styled shots! Fun to be in front of the camera and get some good shots to put on the website.
We All Had A Blast!
This photographers retreat was so much fun! We all had a great time, made new friends, shot some epic scenes and spend some well needed time in the sun! I am so thankful to have met all these wonderful people and to have seen them in action. It is definitely something amazing to see other creatives do what they love and to be able to learn from each other.
I can’t wait to plan the next retreat and meet more of you beautiful souls!
